I just love receiving email from Etsy buyers so excited about an item! Here is a very short, but happy one!

Thank you! These will be a wonderful addition to my daughters wedding :-)

Many wedding Etsy buyers use these to help keep guests entertained while waiting for their entree to be served.  Some just use it to decorate each plate and some have put them in favor bags.  Scroll down to see photo.

Very old school "love" fortunes told too!  There might be some vocabulary building and explaining with children, but who doesn't love a magic dancing fish!

I originally used these in the classroom when teaching magic because most magic is either science or math and when teaching science, these fish go over well with introducing chemistry!  My third graders just loved them!  First I just let them play with them and their reactions were priceless when the fish reacts to their palms, while some fish turn and do flips and others don't move at all!  Why?  Is it really magic?  Is it the cellophane? the ink?  Great for using the scientific method!

The fortune fish has directions on it and tells your fortune on the back of the envelope!  Choose 50, 100, 120, 150+ Magic Fortune Teller Fish, available here

Saying Goodbye:  These were so loved in my classroom for magic themed learning, classroom Valentine's day party favors and to slip them into Valentine's cards they had made for family, which was actually homework!  Sharing the fun and explaining the science behind it!

Smaller amounts in 8+ for cracker bon bon snaps, surprise balls, care packages, and more, available here

What I Learned:

1.  These are very popular at our shops for all occasions and for all ages!  They've been used for Under the Sea weddings and birthdays and other themed wedding and birthdays, like carnival, circus, beach, mermaids, magic, even rockabilly and kidchella parties.  They've been used in surprise balls, cracker bon bon snap poppers, mixed media art, slipped into Christmas cards and Valentine cards.

2.  I'm having a difficult time to day remembering all the way these have been used.  My head is foggy from an allergic reaction yesterday.  We waited to go see Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice until all the crowds were gone in the theater, but just one person was wearing a very strong perfume and it got me.  Also, I wore tons of clothes, but still the theater was so cold and now I also have an ear ache.

3.  I have plenty of childhood memories from playing with these and never seemed to get tired of them!  I pass them out and add them to little ones I know and they never get tired of them either.  Sometimes, they even ask for the fish!  So fun to relive memories and make new ones at the same time.

Here is a little ephemera fortune teller pack.  It has 20 items with some of them relating to fortune telling.  I have one at each shop with each one slightly different.  This one is from VintageToGoEasy, available here

Thank you Etsy buyer from Hoarder Rehab for the short and sweet email.  I hope your daughter's wedding is everything she's ever hoped for!  Congratulations and best wishes!

I'll be adding new items to tomorrow!

Yesterday I got up at 3 am and before the allergy reaction made some "Under the Sea" loteria cards inspired from last week's post here.  Hope to share them next week!  And I hope art sticks as my alternative to hoarding!  Due to allergy reaction at the movies, we were not able to photo anything last weekend.
