Bath Bomb Jewelry Surprise in Plastic Gumball Capsules: The Destiny of Things, Story 489

Bath Bomb Jewelry Surprise in Plastic Gumball Capsules:  The Destiny of Things, Story 489

An Etsy shop owner sent an update photo of bath bomb jewelry surprises!  BEFORE:

SALE 20 25 or 30 EMPTY gumball vending machine capsules cracker snap filler carnival birthday party favor candy container, available here

Here is the note I received:

Absolutely Love these little gumballs! I have used them inside my bath bombs to store hidden goodies. They are quality, fast shipping, and amazing customer service!

How fun!  To take a nice relaxing bath and in the end get a little extra surprise!  I think kids would love these too with a toy inside, especially those that don't like to take baths.

AFTER:

Find a mermaid treasure surprise in your bath bomb, available here, from Michelle at Squishy Mushii

And how fun, she does have one with a toy inside for kid's baths!  Available here!  Check out her Etsy shop, Squishy Mushii  her bath bombs are adorable, she takes wonderful clever photos and her packaging is very cute!

And she has fun and funny names for them, like Block Head Bath Bomb, with a lego toy inside it, here or Naughty List Bath Bomb, available here for all those naughties on your list that deserve some naughty coal, but instead of their stocking, can get it in their bath and wash off all their naughtiness!  Better yet, you can put it in their stocking as as a stuffer and it has double duty use!

Saying Goodbye:  These are quite popular now for holding a jewelry surprise in bath bombs!  Michelle is the 3rd or 4th Etsy shop owner to use these to hold surprise jewelry in bath bombs, but the first one to send me a photo update, so I am quite thrilled to share!

What I Learned:

1.  The bath bomb business must be good because I get a lot of repeat buyers from them!  They are so fun and easy to make, but Michelle must put in a lot of time and creativity to make her bath bombs look so fun!  She has many themes and the photos are so good, I can almost smell them! lol

2.  My hoard is dwindling down due to the sale that Etsy is promoting and I am quite thankful that I might be more than half way through my hoard.  At least most of the big pieces are now gone and some progress can be seen in the art music room, in the sense that the stacks of boxes are no longer shoulder high in areas and are waist to knee high now.  And I'm slowly emptying out my hoarded up truck!

3.  Every year, the winter holidays are stressful for me and I usually buy, buy and buy more as retail therapy, but this year I've bought very little, however I feel this big itch to buy coming over me and I've got a huge wish list and been spending a lot of time window shopping!  Only time will tell, but this year is definitely better than last year!

4.  Every year at this stressful time, I am in conflict over if it's better to stuff my face or buy stuff to release panic and anxiety, which in the end, I manage to do both!  But this year, I'm not stuffing my face so much with comfort foods, like chips, fried chicken and chocolate and I'm not buying hoards either.

Instead I've been finding and trying out other creative outlets and activities, like mending, doing yoga, reading in the morning or late afternoon sun, taking slow walks in wide open spaces and meditating in the morning and before bedtime.  It's taken a lot of baby steps to do these things almost daily, but now I can feel it's helped me a lot.

How do you stay at peace during the winter holidays?  Lots of sugarless hot chai cocoa for me!

Thank you Michelle  from Squishy Mushii  for ordering the plastic gumball capsules and sharing your story with an update photo!  I am thankful for your inspiration, especially for today because I see you bought a ton more capsules yesterday from our other shop, JunkDrawerAndMore.  Thank you!  What a gentle reminder that I need to blog post because all the stories are starting to pile up!

Everyday is such an adventure dehoarding on Etsy!   I never know who I'll meet and I have met so many Etsy buyers who share their stories with me and every time I glean some insight about where my dehoarding journey is taking me.

I've been spending more time in my junk room that is going to transform into a music room for my husband and an art room for me.  Also the truck is getting worked on in teeny tiny baby steps each weekend.  I've been sorting out a box a week out of the truck!

Thank you Etsy for the best Hoarder Rehab ever!  And for all the kind people I'm meeting who are helping me indirectly and directly in so many ways with my Hoarder Rehab!  I've been gleaning so much insight about my hoarding ways.

If you need 50 or 100 plastic capsules, which are very fun to hold your wedding exit confetti of choice or as cupcake toppers with different sprinkles inside or organizing your jewelry or so your small gifts don't get lost as part of your stocking stuffer fun, available here

I am new listing weekly on all the shops, until I reach my goal of 180 items listed on each shop, which I'm having a difficult time keeping and catching up due to the Etsy sale.

Yes, I am very thankful that a lot of my hoard is finding new lives and homes due to the sale and perhaps a little more anxiety than usual because stuff is leaving so fast, but as I've learned, if it happens enough, eventually I'll adjust to it for the better!

We've joined the Etsy sale that is taking place from November 20 to December 1, we started it earlier, so get some Christmas shopping done ahead of time this year!  Also, our Etsy sale ends December 2, instead of the first.

Anyone out there have any thoughts, suggestions or ideas on how the new Etsy free shipping promotional is working for you at the moment?  Has it helped bump up your sales?  Do you foresee any complications with returned items and refunds?

Click on the shop names to visit new hoard listed daily and/or weekly: HoarderRehab with 178 items, The Destiny of Things- 177 items, VintageToGoEasy - 180 items and JunkDrawerAndMore - 175 items.

Yipee!  I've met my goal at one shop!  And oh so close, with Hoarder Rehab!  Maybe you'll find something and give it new life and a new home!

Need these capsules in all one color for a themed party.  An Etsy buyer just bought 150 of these in all black bottoms for her gumball machine and we still have plenty more!
Available here in all black or half white and black.  Etsy email us if you need all one color in a different color or a combination of colors to match your themed party or wedding.

DIY Advent Calendar Treat Ideas in Mini Glassine Bags: The Destiny of Things, Story 488

DIY Advent Calendar Treat Ideas in Mini Glassine Bags:  The Destiny of Things, Story 488

A story just came in for DIY Advent Calendars!  There's still time!

50 or 100 small glassine bags DIY wedding 2 x 3.5 wax like translucent mini food packaging sample bag wedding birthday party supply, available here

Here is the special fun note I received filled with ideas!

The bags were just what I was looking for at a fair price. Thank you for all the little extras. I am going to use the bags for wrapping little gifts for my family’s Advent Calendar. Most of which were purchased on Etsy. I started an Advent Calendar for my son when he was a baby. Now I am continuing the tradition for my daughter in law and Grandson as well. Some of the gifts will be Christmas stamps, lip balm, pins, gift tags, 2.00 dollar bills, religious items and always on the 25th a mini Baby Jesus. I cannot wait to wrap them up. Thank you.

Sounds like so much fun!  I'd love to see the kind of Advent Calendar she uses and wonder what other treats she has used through out the years!

This brings back memories of the Advent Calendar from the Etsy blog, it was so fun!

 with directions here

I made two of them and it took a lot of time to make them, but it was so much fun! Here's a photo of how mine turned out.

Read more about it on my blog posting here

Just as fun to make as to fill up! I think buying and planning the treats was the most fun!  Here are some of things I filled the forest with!  Many of the items, included holiday winter activities with supplies and directions, like how to make paper snowflakes, red and green paper chains and even a tree bank to start saving money for those less fortunate on Day 1.  On Christmas day, I added their Christmas presents, which included a sterling silver nativity charm for my niece.

Read more about the things I filled it with, on my blog posting here
Some of the items can be ordered from our shops.

Saying Goodbye:  I used to use these mini glassine bags for student and teacher gifts and for other holiday and birthday gifting when I needed to add smaller items inside a larger package, so the smaller items wouldn't get lost in the mix.  I still use them that way, but since I'm retired from teaching, I don't use them as often.  I do give them away as part of my "thank you" packaging with most orders on Etsy.

What I Learned:

1.  I am so thankful that most of my hoard was/is sell-able and that I don't need to hoard any more to fill a void, like release from stress and anxiety, especially winter holiday stress!  Usually this time of year, I start buying all kinds of stuff due to family holiday stress, but this year I haven't bought more than just Christmas gifts! and I don't plan too! or feel like it!

2.  My sleep and health are still somewhat erratic but I'm working on that too and trying a new eating life style to help my adrenal stress and thyroid issues.  Now I'm having more balanced days than stressful ones!

3.  I don't feel the need to hoard anymore and I've even started donating many things, instead of listing them at our shops, so I hope to clear out things faster!  Also, I've been clearing out a box a week from my hoarded truck, so I feel like I'm making great progress.

These are the larger bags I use for "thank you" packaging and add the smaller bag inside this one for smaller samples, etc that I don't want to get lost or accidentally thrown out, available here

Thank you Etsy buyer from Hoarder Rehab for sharing your story and giving me more ideas for Advent Calendar treats!  I am thankful for your inspiration, especially for today because I have not felt like blogging for awhile now, so your note gave me the motivation I needed!  Thank you!

Here is the Advent Calendar I wanted to make with my hoard of teacher toilet paper rolls, but I have since been able to throw them out into our recycling bin!  Another win and changed behavior for me!

I am new listing weekly on all the shops, until I reach my goal of 180 items listed on each shop, but have slowed down due to other interests, mainly reading and exercising .  I can now exercise an hour a day.  Usually long slow walks to the park while enjoying all of nature and the big open space.  I feel as though I'm getting stronger and healthier as each day goes by!
