Here is the email I received:

I was so pleased and felt they deserved a place of honor in my dollhouse so I made this special shelf in which to display them as a set. It's nice to have unusual items, and these are exactly that. Thank you so much.

 AFTER:

Wow! What a beautiful unique display shelf for a dollhouse! It's totally amazing! Thank you for giving my childhood miniatures such a special home and new life! I totally appreciate it!

I can't believe it!  An Etsy buyer thought my miniatures were so unique they built a special shelf for the set?   Yes, they did indeed!  And look at all the details and nooks and crannies!  I am so honored that my childhood mini's found a wonderful new life and home!  Thank you Etsy buyer!

When we were kids, every time we took a trip to Mexico, I'd get some miniatures for my collection.  I especially loved nesting dishes.  I had 3 different sets and this was my last one.

Saying Goodbye:  I am getting down to the last of my childhood miniature collection and I'm not sure how I feel about it.  I'm conflicted if I just sit and think about it.  BUT, if I think in gratitude then I'm more on the joyful side that they have found a new life on the cutest little display shelf in an Etsy buyer's dollhouse!

What I Learned:

1.  Just when I thought I was comfortable about letting go of my hoard, some odd strange feelings about it return, like conflicted feelings, a tad of sadness and even a whole lot of anxiety!  I wonder what that's all about?  It's time to do some deep digging!

2.  I think I know what it's about.... on one of our childhood trips to Mexico there was a stranger danger incident and I got away unharmed by hiding in the middle of some hanging clothes until the coast was clear.  I was separated from my parents for such a short time that they didn't even notice I was gone.

Maybe it was on the trip I got these, but I don't remember feeling this way about the other sets of nesting dishes that sold.

3.  That was a scary memory.  I am safe now and if anyone tried to kidnap me now I know what to do!  Just like I taught my third grade students about stranger danger!  Scream for help and run to a safe public place with people, if they take hold of your wrist, move your arm in a full circle to break away, if they are trying to get you into a vehicle hold on to your bike, so you won't fit through the door.  That's all I remember.  Time to brush up on safety and self defense class.

What do you do to feel safe?  I start off with focused breathing and then move to self talk and assess the situation for real danger or something that's bubbling up from the past....
