Restaurant Play Waitress Order Pads:  The Destiny of Things, Story 412

What a fun stocking stuffer for making childhood memories!

As a child, I would have loved to have my own pad like the one above to play restaurant at dinner time!  This year, a daughter who loves to play restaurant is going to be very lucky and happy to find these in her Christmas stocking!

Here is the message I received:

My daughter loves to play restaurant; I can hardly wait for her to find this in her Christmas stocking. :)

I can't wait til she finds it either and yes, I would love to be a fly on the wall when she does!

I use mine as a fun way to make my "to do" lists and then the use the back as as a gratitude list at the end of the day.

Saying Goodbye:  I just love receipt books!  And have used them as a waitress while putting myself through college and later used the one with carbon paper for rent receipts when I was a property manager.

I have even thought about using them for thank you receipts for my Etsy shops, but these are a little too big.  I have been looking for the palm sized one's from my waitressing days with carbon paper, but no such luck yet!

These don't have the carbon paper, but they are still fun!

What I Learned:

1.   I think these would also be fun to use for scrap booking memorable meals, or as recipe cards or as BBQ or pot luck invites with the brunch menu or dinner theme on them.  How would you use them?

2.  Thinking back into my own childhood, I loved to pretend play, especially school, army soldiers and doctor.  We had a play house in our backyard and it would become our pretend play grocery store, restaurant, school, ball room for dress up, etc.

What are your favorite pretend play memories?

My brother and I would play army men for hours with little guns like these!  We'd play in the mud a lot with little plastic soldiers too, digging trenches, moving mountains and changing river courses to defeat our enemies!
10 or 15 mini guns available here

Thank you Etsy buyer from JunkDrawerAndMore  for letting me know about your daughter's restaurant pretend play.  How exciting for you both and especially you with anticipation of Christmas stocking goodies!

Again, thanks for sharing, it has brought back many old happy memories and now I can think of how to make new ones too this Christmas!

All these stories and ideas really help me stay on track with mine.  I haven't been throwing much away lately due to holiday stress, but I have stayed within my retail therapy budget this year and every year I spend less too!

And I've been spending more time in the music art room dehoarding it and organizing boxes and getting ready to list more in 2017!

Thank you Etsy for the best Hoarder Rehab ever!  And for all the kind people I'm meeting who are helping me indirectly and directly in so many ways with my Hoarder Rehab!  I've been gleaning so much insight about my hoarding ways

I would have loved one of these teacher bells to use at my desk while playing school!  Available here

I'm spending most of my time in wellness mode and my allergies have been getting better too.  I think meditation for at least an hour a day has helped me the most, especially with my sciatica and lower back pain.  With less back pain, I can do gentle yoga twice daily now and take a long walk too!

I have been relisting almost daily and will be new listing again starting next year!  My computer was malfunctioning and is now fixed, but I need to learn to be more patient with myself when learning how to use a new application.

Click on the shop names to visit new hoard listed daily and/or weekly: HoarderRehab with 148 items, The Destiny of Things- 133 items, VintageToGoEasy - 144 items and JunkDrawerAndMore - 148 items.

Maybe you'll find something to adopt and share your story too!  Thanks for looking!

These are my all time favorite for bringing back nostalgic memories while making new ones with my family and friends and all ages never seem to get tired of them.  Available here
