Penny Doll in a Coffin Mixed Media Art Starter Kit Gift:  The Destiny of Things, Story 547

One of my mixed media art ideas that didn't get off the ground!  BEFORE:

Perfection ... so adorable and no surprises. Initially i'd planned to gift her - but heck no she's mine now! Keep-keep😜

So funny!   Keep-keep!  I know what it's like to buy a gift for someone and then keep it for myself!  However, as a recovering hoarder, I would buy several to many..... some to gift and some to keep for myself!  I haven't done that in a long time, so maybe my hoarding days are over?

Anyways, looks how she incorporated the penny doll in a coffin with her other items!  So cool!

There are so many cute little details in this mixed media art assemblage!  I'd want to know the story about each piece!

Saying Goodbye:  My penny doll collection is finding new lives and homes, so I'm very happy about that.  I'm a little apprehensive about my collection of coffins and the same penny dolls I've collected are leaving because it took a long time to collect them all!

My mixed media art ideas was to take all the same penny dolls and and display them in these coffins, but I never got around to it.  Now it's time to say goodbye to that idea, so new ones can take it's place!

Here are the new ones listed, except for Penny doll #2, it sold out last night.

What I Learned:

1.  I have a hoard of mixed media art projects rolling around in my head!  with all the supplies to go with them!  I seem to like the idea of collecting hoards of project ideas and their supplies, rather than actually going through the process of starting and finished each project!

Now that I know that's one of my biggest hoarder issues!  I can STOP it!  As in stop buying hoards of supplies and stop keeping hoards of art projects in my head!  And either start making them come to true to life or start letting each idea go!

Well, I'm going to have to let many of the ideas go because I just have too many of them, plus I just keep going back to mending and patching because mending and patching take me to such a timeless joyful place.

2.  When I actually think about my "supply" hoard and while being "honest" with myself, I know I have more than enough art projects to last me a life time!  Probably several life times!  It's time to start letting many of them go, so I can work and create on those that take me to a timeless place of joy!

What do you do that takes you to a timeless place of joy?  I used to play a lot of racquetball in high school through college and that took me to a timeless place because I remember playing for 6 to 8 hours a day on the weekends and after school!  Luckily that Fitness Center was open for 24 hours!
