Here is what she is going to put inside the capsules to pass out to her after school kids club! What fun! Simple yet thoughtful.
I have these pencil top erasers on hand, if you would like to order them I can list them for you. Mine are the neon classic looking eraser pencil tops and I usually add one to gumball capsule orders, as an example of what fits inside them.
These were passed out at the end of the school year, yet they'd also be perfect to pass out at the beginning of the school year. The gumball capsules also hold little candies, like skittles, lunch money and great for holding little notes or reminders for your children.

They also make are cute to hold cupcake sprinkles for large classroom parties, especially if you have students who have different allergies and such. One Etsy buyer bought either the tooth lockets or the mini tooth treasure chest and put one in a capsule and used them as cupcake toppers for her daughter's classroom birthday.
5 or 10 mini tooth holder locket necklaces, available here. Fun and practical teacher, adult recess monitors or school nurse gift. Also makes great classroom party cupcake toppers, or for any sweet tooth parties! Photo via Hoarder Rehab
SAYING GOODBYE: The gumball capsules are one of our best sellers and I use them in all kinds of ways. We also sell them in bulk of 50 or 100 count, if you need them for pinata fillers or wedding exit sprinkles, they hold seeds, small flower petals and rice. just enough to throw!
24 or 30 mini tooth holder treasure chests, available here. Fun and practical teacher or school nurse gift. Also makes great classroom party cupcake toppers!

What I Learned:
1. Lately, I've been putting my change inside them with a little happy note and I give them to homeless people who ask me for money. Great for giving to crying children too, I get parents permission first though. I also keep a quarters worth in the capsules, in case I need to use them for metered parking spaces. Also for stashing vitamins or meds while out about town.
2. I haven't been in blogland and I don't even where my time went! I think about blogging and that's about it, lol. And I have a lot of stories piling up. We were super busy during the Labor Day sale. I am so thankful that a lot of my hoard went to "forever homes." Thank you Etsy and Etsy buyers!
3. I've also been lost in Pikord land, which is like Pinterest for weeks, maybe it's been a month (due to lack of sleep and it being so hot over here or at least that's my legitimate excuse!) and it's been so inspiring! There are so many different projects I want to try besides textile art, like junk journals, happy mail exchanges, mixed media art assemblage, plant fabric dyes and more! So much so, I don't know where to begin! I sure wish I had some friends interested in the same things and likes to go to workshops!
4. I've also been spending time organizing my hoard of hoards. A lot of my hoard is in drawers and all my supplies are in boxes and I need to switch that around. Unfortunately with lack of sleep and through all the heat, my biggest problem becomes decision making and I tend to just move one thing to another place, instead of organizing.
5. I got this huge bag of button, probably a couple pounds worth and one thing I can do with lack of sleep is sort! And I love to sort, so I've taken over the dining room table with sorting buttons. Who knew that buttons could be so different, not just in size but design. Even the standard looking buttons have slight variations. So I've been enjoying all the difference and similarities of button sorting! I don't know why but it brings me such joy! A timeless joy, just like slow stitching does.

Thank you Lisa and Adelle from JunqueInfusion for your inspiring story that keeps me motivated to continue my Hoarder Rehab journey! Check out Lisa's shop, JunqueInfusion for the most lovely inspirational things! I've bought my share of hoard from her and she makes every order fun and beautiful, like Christmas morning or birthday!
One day, when my hoard is down to a minimum and I have more time, I'd love to curate my shop like she does hers! She has such an eye! Where is the jealous button? Thank you Lisa you are so inspirational!
Keep these little cute chickies in mind for spring and Easter. They make cute pocket pets for kids.
